I have to admit that I'm not the jewelry type, I'm more of an oversized clutch gal!  Hence, oversized clutch in the photo.  Since the weather's getting warmer and summer is almost here,  I have decided to make an effort and give my outfits more dimension by adding jewelry.

When you think jewelry, you typically picture finer pieces, more high end pieces.  But, there's no need to break the bank or wear your finer pieces all the time.  Costume jewelry is an affordable way to stay on trend and on budget!

I have outlined 3 great options for adding statement jewels to your summer wardrobe:

Statement Neck Pieces

Chunky necklaces are the easiest way to add depth to your wardrobe.  The Bay has a great selection of chunky necklaces for great prices. Of course, when choosing the right necklace, I recommend that you watch your proportions.  You want to wear the necklace, rather than the other way around!  Also, choose a neutral colour.  A neutral piece is more versatile, especially if you're looking to pair your new necklace with a number of different outfits.

Scarves

If you're not a fan of necklaces, then scarves are the new wave! I love a good scarf, in any dimension, to add to an outfit. I'm an 80s baby, 90s kid, so if I'm feeling nostalgic I'll style my scarf like a choaker necklace. This is a standout way to accessorize is simple and rounds out your outfit perfectly!

Rings

Okay, so I don't love rings, I have to be honest... But, if you're looking for a subtle way to complete a look, add a ring... or two... or 5!  I've noted that it's trendy to wear multiple rings.  I've tried the trend, and while I won't rock it everyday, I do like the edge it adds to a more causal outfit.

Don't forget to drop me a line and let me know what's your favourite way to accessorize!
